Chicken drumstick recipe
Ingredients:
6 chicken drumsticks
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Optional: lemon wedges for serving
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This ensures that it’s hot and ready when you’re done preparing the drumsticks.
Prepare the Drumsticks: Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This helps the seasonings stick better.
Season the Drumsticks: In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, onion powder, thyme, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
Rub this seasoning mixture all over the chicken drumsticks, making sure they’re evenly coated.
Arrange on a Baking Sheet: Place the seasoned drumsticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
Make sure they’re not touching each other to ensure even cooking.
Bake: Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake the chicken drumsticks for about 35-40 minutes, or until they’re golden brown and cooked through.
You can check for doneness by inserting a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the drumstick. It should register at least 165°F (74°C).
Serve: Once the drumsticks are cooked, remove them from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Optionally, squeeze some fresh lemon juice over the drumsticks before serving for extra flavor.
Enjoy: Serve the deliciously seasoned chicken drumsticks hot and enjoy them with your favorite sides like roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
Restaurant style chicken drumstick
Ingredients:
6-8 chicken drumsticks
1 cup plain yogurt
2 tablespoons ginger garlic paste
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Chopped coriander leaves for garnish
Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions:
Marinate the chicken drumsticks: In a large mixing bowl, combine yogurt, ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well until all the spices are evenly incorporated into the yogurt.
Add the chicken drumsticks to the marinade, making sure each piece is well coated. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight for best flavor.
Cooking the chicken: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the marinated chicken drumsticks one by one, shaking off any excess marinade before adding them to the pan.
Fry the chicken drumsticks for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Use tongs to flip them occasionally for even cooking.
Once the chicken drumsticks are cooked through, transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
Garnish the chicken drumsticks with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
Enjoy your restaurant-style chicken drumsticks fry.
