Ingredients:

4 eggs

4 slices of bread (preferably brioche or sourdough)

Butter

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional toppings: cheese, bacon, ham, avocado, tomato, spinach, etc.

Optional condiments: mayonnaise, mustard, hot sauce, pesto, etc.

Instructions:

Prepare the Eggs:

Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk them together until well combined. Season with salt and pepper according to your taste.

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a knob of butter.

Once the butter is melted and the pan is hot, pour the beaten eggs into the skillet.

Let the eggs cook undisturbed for a few seconds until the edges start to set.

Using a spatula, gently push the cooked edges towards the center of the pan, allowing the uncooked eggs to flow to the edges. Continue this process until the eggs are mostly set but still slightly runny.

Assemble the Sandwich:

While the eggs are cooking, toast the bread slices until golden brown. You can do this in a toaster or in the same skillet you used for the eggs.

If you’re adding any toppings like cheese, bacon, or ham, you can place them on one side of the bread slices to warm them up slightly.

Once the eggs are cooked to your liking, divide them into four portions and place each portion on a slice of toasted bread.

Add Toppings and Condiments:

If desired, add any additional toppings like sliced avocado, tomato, spinach, etc., on top of the eggs.

Spread condiments like mayonnaise, mustard, hot sauce, or pesto on the other slice(s) of toasted bread.

Assemble the Sandwich:

Place the condiment-covered bread slice(s) on top of the eggs and toppings to form a sandwich.

Serve and Enjoy:

Cut the sandwich in half diagonally or serve it whole.

Optionally, you can serve the sandwich with a side of fresh fruit, salad, or potato chips for a complete meal.

Feel free to customize the sandwich with your favorite ingredients and condiments to make it truly restaurant-style and tailored to your preferences.
