khichu papad recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup rice flour
2 cups water
1 teaspoons cumin seeds
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
1 teaspoon ginger-green chili paste
Salt to taste
Oil for greasing
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour and water, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
Add cumin seeds, sesame seeds, ginger-green chili paste, and salt to the mixture. Mix well.
Transfer the mixture to a non-stick pan and cook over medium heat.
Keep stirring to prvent it from sticking to the bottom.
Cook until the mixture thickens and forms a smooth, dough-like consistency.
Once the dough is ready, remove it from heat and let it cool slightly.
Grease your palms with oil and take small portions of the dough to form round shapes.
You can use a little oil to make this process easier.
Flatten the rounds slightly to resemble small discs or papads.
Allow them to cool completely before serving.
Traditionally, these papads are steamed, but you can also choose to microwave or air-fry them for a healthier option.
Serve khichu papad with oil, green chutney, or a yogurt-based dip of your choice.
