What is masoor dal ?

Masoor dal is a famous Indian red lentil it is also known as red lentil , it is easy to make now we learn recipe of masoor dal which is also known as red lentil .

Masoor dal curry

Let’s start making masoor dal curry recipe

Masoor dal recipe

Ingredients 

1. 2 cup masoor dal

2. 2 onion Chopped

3. 4 Tablespoon oil or ghee

4. 4_6 garlic cloves

5. 2 inch grated ginger

6. Salt as required

7. 1 tsp red chilli powder

8. 2 tsp coriander powder

9. 1 tsp turmeric powder

10. 2 tsp cumin powder

11. 2_4 green chilies chopped

12. 4 tomatoes chopped

13. Water as required

14. Coriander leaves Chopped

Instructions 

1. First of all wash masoor dal in a  running water then soak it in water 1/2 hour

2. Take pressure cooker put on flame add oil when oil become hot

3. Add garlic cloves minced & grated ginger saute it

4. Next add onion when onion change its color add tomatoes mix well

5. When tomatoes become soft add salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder mix well

6. When oil separate add soaked masoor dal mix well

7. Add green chilies & coriander leaves add water cover lid & put on high flame

8. After 3 whistle turn off flame masoor dal ready serve it with rice or roti.

Palak dal Recipe /spinach dal Recipe

Let’s start making Palak dal recipe

Ingredients 

1. 2 cup yellow moong dal or pigeon peas(toor dal)

2. 4 cup spinach ( Palak)

3. Salt as required

4. 1 tsp red chilli powder

5. 2 tsp coriander powder

6. 1 tsp turmeric powder

7. 2 tsp cumin seed

8. 4 tomatoes chopped

9. 4 green chilies chopped

10. 2 inch ginger grated

11. 4 garlic cloves minced

12. 4 tablespoon vegetable oil or ghee

13. 2 onion Chopped

14. Water as required

15. Coriander leaves as required

Instructions 

1. First of all take mong dal wash it than soak it 1/2 hour

2. Than wash spinach leaves in running water and keep aside

3. Take pressure cooker put on flame add oil when oil become hot

4. Add cumin seeds saute it Next add grated ginger and garlic cloves minced saute it

5. Add onion when onion become golden brown add tomatoes when tomatoes become soft

6. Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, green chilies mix well

7. When oil separates add soaked moong dal mix well and add water cover lid until 3 whistle

8. When moong dal become soft or fine thick paste add coriander leaves and spinach leaves mix well

9. Again cover with lid when all ingredients mixed well turn off flame

10. Palak dal recipe is ready serve Palak dal with Naan or roti.

Chana dal Recipe

Let’s start making chana dal recipe

Ingredients 

1. 2 cup chana dal

2. Salt as required

3. 1 tsp garam masala powder

4. 1 tsp red chilli powder

5. 2 tsp coriander powder

6. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

7. 4 tablespoon oil or ghee

8. 2 tsp cumin seed

9. 2 onion Chopped

10. 4 tomatoes chopped

11. 4_6 garlic cloves minced

12. 2 inch ginger grated

13. 4 green chilies chopped

14. Water as required

15. Coriander leaves as required

Instructions 

1. First of all wash chana dal & soakedit 1_2 hour

2. After that take pressure cooker add chana dal and water cover with lid

3. When 3_4 whistle comes turn off flame keep aside

4. Now take a pan put on flame add oil when oil become hot

5. Add cumin seeds, grated ginger and minced garlic saute it

6. Next add onion, when onion changes its color add tomatoes when tomatoes become soft

7. Add salt, garam masala powder,turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder mix well

8. Next add green chilies & coriander leaves when oil separates add cooked chana dal mix well

9.  Cook 5_10 minutes on low flame chana dal Recipe is ready serve with chapati or rice.

Arhar Dal Recipe

Let’s start making simple recipe of Arhar dal (toor dal)

Ingredients 

1. 2 cup arhar dal( toor dal or split pigeon peas)

2. Salt as required

3. 4 tablespoon oil or ghee

4. 2 inch greated ginger

5. 4_6 garlic cloves minced

6. 2 tsp cumin seeds

7. 2 tsp red chilli powder

8. 1/2 turmeric powder

9. 4 green chilies chopped

10. 2 onion Chopped

11. 4 tomatoes chopped

12. Water as required

13. Coriander leaves as required

14. Curry leaves

Instructions 

1. First of all wash Arhar dal in running water than soak it 1_2 hour

2. After that drain its water take pressure cooker add soaked Arhar dal

3. Than add  turmeric powder, green chilies, tomatoes & water mix well cover with lid

4. When 5_6 whistle comes turn off flame or cook until Arhar dal become mushy & soft keep aside

5. Take a pan put on flame add oil when oil become hot

6. Add cumin seeds saute it Next add grated ginger and minced garlic cloves again saute it

7.add curry leaves saute it add cooked dal in pan mix well

8. Add salt, red chilli powder, coriander leaves when all ingredients mixed well

9. When dal reaches your desired consistency turn off flame

10. Arhar dal recipe is ready serve with Naan or rice

Urad dal Recipe

Let’s start making urad dal recipe

Ingredients 

1.2 cup whole urad dal( black lentils)

2. 1/2 cup red kidney beans ( rajma)

3. Salt as required

4. 1 cup fresh cream

5. 2 cup garam masala powder

6. 2 tsp red chilli powder

7. 1/2  tsp turmeric powder

8. 1 tsp cumin seed

9. 4 green chilies

10. 2 tsp ginger garlic paste

11. 4 tomatoes ( puree)

12. 2 onion Chopped

13. 2 tsp oil

14. 4 tablespoon ghee or butter

15. Water as required

16. Coriander leaves as required

Instructions 

1.First of all wash urad dal & rajma soak it in water  together 6_8 hours or overnight

2. After that take pressure cooker add urad dal & rajma soaked in cooker add water & cover with lid

3. Cook until 4_6 whistle or until dal become soft & mushy turn off flame and keep aside

4. Take a pan put on flame add oil & ghee when oil become hot

5. Add cumin seeds saute it Next add onion, when onion changes its color add tomatoes when tomatoes become soft

6. Add salt, garam masala powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, green chilies & ginger garlic paste mix well

7. Cook 5_6 minutes now add urad dal & rajma soft mixture

8. Now add fresh cream and coriander leaves

9. Now reduce flame to low Cook 10-12 minutes or until dal reaches your desired consistency turn off flame

10. Urad dal recipe is ready serve with Naan or rice.

Mix dal Recipe

Let’s start making mix dal recipe

Ingredients 

1. 1/2 cup masoordal

2. 1/2 cup moong dal

3. 1/2  cup toor dal

4. 1/2 cup chana dal

5. Salt as required

6. 4 tablespoon oil or ghee

7. 2 inch grated ginger

8. 4_6 garlic cloves minced

9. 2 tsp cumin seed

10. 1 tsp mustard seeds

11. 2 tsp red chilli powder

12. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

13. Water as required

14. 2 onion Chopped

15. 4 tomatoes chopped

16. 4 green chilies

17. Coriander leaves Chopped

Instructions 

1. First of all wash all dal ‘s in running water then soak it 1_2 hour

2. After that drain its water take pressure cooker add soaked dal ‘s & water cover with lid after 5_6 whistle or until dal become soft and mushy turn off flame and keep aside

3. Take a pan put on flame add oil when oil become hot

4. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds saute it

5. Next  add  grated ginger and garlic cloves saute it again

6. Add onion when onion change its color add tomatoes when tomatoes become soft

7. Add salt, red chilli, turmeric powder, green chilies & coriander leaves mix well

8. Now add mashed mixed cooked dal cook it 5_10 minutes on low flame than turn off flame

9. Mix dal  recipe is ready serve with roti or rice.

Green moong dal Recipe

Let’s start making green moong dal recipe

Ingredients 

1. 2 cup whole green dal

2. 1 tsp cumin powder

3. 2 tsp coriander powder

4. 2 tsp red chilli powder

5. 1/2 turmeric powder

6. 4 green chilies

7. 2 tsp ginger garlic paste

8. 2 tablespoon oil or ghee

9. 2 tsp cumin seed

10. 2 onion Chopped

11. 4 tomatoes chopped

12. Coriander leaves as required

Instructions 

1. First  of all wash  green moong dal & soak it in water 6_8 hours

2. After that drain its water and add it in pressure cooker add water cover lid  turn on flame and cook until 5_6 whistle or until dal become soft turn off flame keep aside

3. Take a pan put on flame add oil when oil become hot

4. Add cumin seeds saute it Next add onion when onion change its color

5. Add tomatoes when tomatoes become soft

6. Add salt, garam masala powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and ginger garlic paste mix well

7. When oil separates from masala add mashed and cooked moong dal mix well

8. Next add green chilies & coriander leaves mix well

9. When dal reaches your desired consistency & all ingredients mixed well

10. Turn off flame green moong dal is ready serve with chapati or rice.
